The Treasury Department is responsible for the Firm's overall cash management, allocation of investment opportunities and maintenance of third-party lines of credit. Primary functions within Treasury include short and long-term cash forecasting, pre-trade compliance, asset allocations, cash positioning and debt compliance. The Treasury Department collaborates closely with many internal and external partners to ensure the Firm's financing goals are met. These partners include senior management, Structured Products, Middle Market Lending and Broadly Syndicated Loan Origination Teams, Accounting, Operations, Tax and Investor Relations as well as banking partners, trustees, accounting firms, administrators and rating agencies.
Position Responsibilities
Assist, as needed, with Treasury Cash Management related activities including but not limited to:
• Gain exposure and understanding of the Treasury funding process: Learn how capital is called, debt proceeds are obtained from credit facilities, equity is positioned from Golub parent entities, and assets are ultimately settled
• Completion of a project related to Treasury Cash Management, which may involve gathering data from multiple sources, conducting analysis, and presenting findings to the team
• Acquire hands-on experience with Treasury-specific systems such as GTreasury (for reporting, analytics, bank account management, payment processing, and cash management) and Wall Street Office (WSO, the loan accounting system used to track liability activity).
• Assist with routine margin call tasks and learn the mechanics of internal cash flows
• Attend team meetings and participate in shadowing sessions to gain exposure to Treasury Cash Management and the broader Treasury function
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
• Junior attending local university interested in financial services
• Ability to work full-time from June to mid-August
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Ability to take initiative and work independently, while demonstrating strong teamwork
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time and priorities under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills, analytical and detail-oriented
• Enthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work culture
Additional Information
• Interns have a 40-hour-per-week assignment that last 10 weeks (June 1st - August 7th)
• Hybrid work schedule
• Housing assistance will be available for eligible candidates
• Hourly Rate: $25
